Medication
The medical and food supplements market is a very sensitive one. Patients who take a counterfeit medicine may die if the medicine component contains harmful materials. Otherwise, even if no death is caused, inactive materials or improper mild of ingredients will make the medicine non-effective.
This is why authorities pay extra attention to counterfeit medicines, or even stolen medicine, which will stream to the market without control.
In the U.S. the ePedigree Act will enter into force on January 1, 2011.

This act considers the manufacturer of medicines as the sole responsible party to maintain full control of each packet or bottle, manufactured or sold, along the complete distribution chain.
Counter-Fight is the only database-free system enabling the manufacturer to follow the law and fulfill the ePedigree requirements.
Counter-Fight takes the ePedigree requirements one step further, as it enables to track products even beyond the pharmacy point-of-sale into the patient home.
